Jason built Tidy Turtles while working full-time at Microsoft. He had an Airbnb, got tired of unreliable cleaners ruining his guests' experience, and decided to build the company he always wanted to hire. His wife Sara brought 20+ years of restaurant hospitality experience, and suddenly the operation had something most cleaning companies never do: genuine customer service.
Within the first year, Tidy Turtles landed incredible accounts. Not from a big ad budget, but from clients who told their neighbors because something felt genuinely different about this company.

Jason was working full-time at Microsoft when he bought an Airbnb in Tampa Bay. Like a lot of short-term rental hosts, he quickly realized that the difference between a 5-star review and a 3-star one often came down to one thing: the clean. And finding a cleaner who was reliable, communicative, and actually cared about the result? Nearly impossible.
So Jason decided to start his own cleaning company. While still at his day job at Microsoft, he launched Tidy Turtles around one simple operating principle: treat every home like it's your own, answer every message, and never leave a job you wouldn't be proud of. His wife Sara joined from day one and brought something Jason describes as the missing ingredient: 20+ years working in restaurant hospitality, where you learn fast that the experience around the service matters just as much as the service itself.
What gave Tidy Turtles a structural edge from day one was Jason's background at Microsoft. He had worked with Dynamics, Microsoft's enterprise CRM and operations platform, helping businesses build systems around client tracking, job workflows, and communication accountability. Most cleaning companies run on a phone and a prayer. Jason built Tidy Turtles the way a real operations system gets built: clear processes, consistent handoffs, and a record of every interaction. That is why clients actually get called back.
The results came fast. Within the first year, while Jason was still at Microsoft, Tidy Turtles landed incredible accounts across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
